New Branding Photos for a Homeschooling Entrepreneur

Kawai came to me needing branding photos for her new podcast called Homeschooling Entrepreneur Mom which you can listen to here. She is wanting to help mom’s navigate the hectic life of homeschooling and having a business. After doing homeschooling this last year, I wish I would have had this resource a year ago. But I’m so glad to see this option for others now!

When Kawai and I met for coffee we planned out all our sets for the photographing day. She came with a list of ideas that she was going to be needing for her images. She has five kids of varying ages so we decided to mostly work with each kid individually with a focus on the eldest. Since some of her future topics will be about his age group he became our main focus kid.

Some of her topics included the eldest cooking and helping out with meal preparation. The talking points for this will be helping out the house and taking some off mom’s plate.

The eldest selling and earning to help with understanding the value of money. He was able to save up his own money for an item he was wanting to buy.

Also a few other sets of the eldest kid working independently and working alongside while mom works.

The next two middle kids were grouped together with the idea to capture their workspace on the floor, where they do work a lot. Also adding in mom working as well while kids work.

The two youngest kids also had their own mommy time. With them being younger their homeschool consists of reading and blocks.

We also did some individual images of Kawai in the kitchen making her daily meal replacement shake. She is a rep for Isagenix and we got a few images of that business venture. With some other random product place of the natural energy drink.

Lastly we finished off with bringing all the five kids outside, each holding a different homeschooling type item. This image is being used on her banner for her podcast.

When we meet for your shoot preparation, we will flush out these types of stories to tell. If you already have some ideas of topics you plan to write about or have already written out, telling me these is the perfect way to generate shot ideas.

This is part of the work that I do, is helping to figure out these story sets. Sometimes coming to me with just vague ideas of how that for business planning you use post it notes. Doing a series of images where you are writing on post it notes is something that we should be doing. I did this in a previous session (seen here). My client now has a series of photos with her writing on post its on her desk and then planning out her business plan on the white board.

Do you have any ideas for your business that you would love captured? Do you have a series of working images? Images of you working on your computer, phone, desk, table or even creating any of your products? Do you have images of working with others? And even the more personal stories of you doing your favorite things that you love to tell about to help you create connections?

If you’ve been needing these professionally taken images send me a message and let’s set up a consultation and start chatting about what images you could be using.
