The Studio on Cole Street was a perfect location for these mini branding photoshoot sessions. I had three set options that I created for these wonderful business women.

1. A plain white backdrop
2. A working desk set
3. A cozy lifestyle home set

It did take some work to use the working set and couch set, those were in the same area, but thankfully there was enough space within the studio to grab the rug and move the couch of the way and then move in the desk. When it come to mini sessions like these the intent is to use a simple minimalists set that each person is the focus point in the photo.

To prepare each of these awesome business owning woman for their mini personal branding photoshoot, I sent them each a small questionnaire and then we also got a 30 minute video call. On that shoot planning video call we talked about their outfit, the sets they wanted to use, a few prop ideas and any specific photos ideas they needed for their business. When should you do a mini personal branding photoshoot?

There are two types of businesses that will invest in mini branding photoshoots.

• First Timers: Businesses that haven't done a full branding photoshoot for the reason of funds or they aren't ready for the full commitment and just want to step their toes into branding photos. This is the business owner who knows they need and want branding photos, but feels overwhelmed with the bigger shoots. Mini branding photoshoots are perfect to start with, they are a smaller investment in both funds and time.
• Supplemental Shoots: This is the business owner who has done a personal branding photoshoot before and wants some new fresh content. Maybe this is an in between session with a smaller time commitment. Some business owners will add these mini shoots in between their full branding sessions.

In my opinion mini branding photoshoots are for every business. The most important thing to look for and ask the branding photographer is about the location aesthetic. If the location in very light and bright, but your brand is more moody or bold, then that mini shoot day might not be the right fit for your brand.
