Part III: Branding Images You Need for Your Website as an Interior Design
Finished interior design projects
The Client: Holly Bero and team
The Business: H. Bero Interiors
A little about her business:
Holly's team consists of 3 interior designers, an office coordinator and administrative assistant, they are truly a women power house team. I've photographed 8 finished interior projects (and counting) as well as taken her team's branding photos. Her team is wonderful to work with and her designs and photoshoot styling are on point for her brand.
Every interior designer needs photos of the finished projects they work on for their portfolio. For social media purposes don't forget to grab those before photos and then create the "ohs and ahs" of the dramatic after images of the space designed by your business.
There are two types of photo styles for interiors, the real estate look which is usually an HDR with lights on, sharp and crisp. Then on and then the opposite side is interior photos with lights off and giving a more natural and sometimes softer feel to the images. With real estate photos the intention is to see the full scope of the room while interior photos are meant to make you want to step into the room and sit down at the table to eat a snack and get comfortable. The photo vibes are very different.
Below are sample photos and ideas to get for the after photos of the spaces you design. However, don't forget to share who you are on your website and social media. While people love to see the transformation of the space your clients will be hiring you and working with you. As business owners we should be showing our faces within our business, this is why I love personal branding photography and showing why your more than just your headshot and your product photos.
The Full Space and Room
The full room, the pull back shot which usually entails getting back as far as you can (maybe up again a wall) to get everything in there.
Different Angles
Get up high or down low, this is where creativity starts to show up with the space. Focusing on certain design details like the oven range scene. This is where we start to feel the "I want to sit in that chair" moment.
The Details of Different Textures
Full creativity is unleashed in this portion. Finishing those textures and the design details. Special features and focusing on those. This is when the styled elements get focused on. Create leading lines in photos. This is another time when you are going to get up high or down low to get those visually inspiring photos.
