Make It Personal
Not all of us are comfortable with being the face of our businesses. We want to hide behind our product and let our product and outcome take center stage. I’m sorry if you feel called out with this, but you can’t hide anymore. You’ve got to show up and show your face in your business!
You need to show up AS YOU ARE!, As you are right NOW, not when you lose those pounds. Embrace yourself as you are! There is no time like right now. People are waiting to see you today! You need to lead as you are, people want to hear what you are saying and they want to follow you, not the other person that has “that thing” you don’t and think you need first.
It is time to stand up, embrace yourself, lead and show up AS YOU ARE today! This is why I prefer to make it personal and take photos of business owners rocking it in their business, showing up in their business.
Do you need to show everything in your business photos? NO! Not at all, but picking a few things that are relevant and connect with your ideal clients.
In the case of Chloe Puff Training, her ideal clients are moms, soon to be moms, tired and overworked moms, moms that have given themselves to everyone else but themselves, moms who are ready to transform themselves but still have a little human attached to them and have to work around that.
Chloe wants to attract women that are like her, moms that are also dealing with all the mental and physical stuff she is going through as well. If you check out any of Chloe’s stuff, you see that she gets real, she cries in her stories, she laughs and she is a genuine woman going through all of the things other moms are going through and she doesn’t hide the good and tough that comes with it.
Do you need to be this personal with your own business? Nope. You get to decide how personal you want to be. Maybe that is just sharing that you’re a pet parent and your love for wine/coffee. That is perfectly acceptable. You don’t need to be sharing the wrinkly tummy after having babies like Chloe does. That is her authentic story.
Each of our real and authentic personal stories are going to be unique. It should speak to those you want to attract and those you want to bring into your business. This is why I want you to come AS YOU ARE, come with what you have.
Make it personal to you!
Chloe made it personal by:
Showing how she adds kids into her workout and how simple getting movement in as a family can actually be.
How she encourages her kids to help prepare food and make their own food choices, but also adding in a fun treat and being ok with that.
Showing the after body of having kids and accepting that body.
Lastly sharing some of those BTS of working in her job.
We have another future session planned of taking it outside. The weather that day made it a little hard to get outside. She has more stories to share and more pieces to add connections with her ideal clients.
How would you make your session a little personal?
If you're not sure on how to do this, reach out and let's talk. I'd love to help give you some ideas of the possibilities that we could photograph.
