Women Events with a Spiritual Vibe
Each event is unique in their target market and the vibe they are creating to bring in the people that connect with their values. The midsummer soiree event was hosted by Divine Pearl Collective, this team of women are working to bring spiritual, holistic and wellness women into a safe space to connect and rejuvenate surrounded by nature. To learn, to grow, to be vulnerable, to ground, to cleanse, to renew, to create connections and to support the divine feminine within all of us in a safe space.
Align with your people (and my people)! Even though this is work for me, it brings me so much joy and fulfillment to capture events like these. It also helps that the outdoor space was naturally beautiful at The Secret Garden Estate event space in the Stanwood, WA area. A beautiful day, filled with beautiful people in this space made for some gorgeous images!
The Food, Decorations and Drinks
The event food was catered by two sisters who own a catering business Table and Tines. The food was so fresh and clean. The table decorations were provided by Athina’s Botanical Garden, she also provided the flowers for the crowns that the attendee made for themselves to wear for the event. And if you've never had Yerbana their drinking are so refreshing, I've known one of the creators Amber since the summer of 2021.
Opening Ceremony
Jenny and Zionna created a beautiful opening ceremony for the event. They had Emily the location host guide everyone through a cleansing and opening ritual which involved cleansing smoke, drums, chants and invoking guidance from the spirit animals in the north, east, south and west. It was a very magical way to start the day.
The Vendors
Just like their previous event, they also had a few vendors at this event. There was a death doula, tarot readers, aura reader, holistic skin care, crystal booths, metaphysical shop, drink elixir maker and making of flower crowns. Every vendor was intentionally selected as a woman owned business that supports other women.
It's a Whole Vibe
At events I not only capture speakers, presentations (or in this case rituals), but also those in between photos that really embody the vibe of the day. This was a deep introspective day and it was beautiful to capture the moments and small things.
Other Ceremonies
Can we take a moment to really look at the cord burning ceremony images under the tree lead by Bri of Journey Together Death Doula. While there is a technical challenge to photographing in dapple and harsh lighting like this, it can also yield amazing images when you have patience to just wait for the moment to occur.
Like the opening ceremony they also had a closing ceremony, but ladies got comfortable either laying down or sitting on pillows. Chakra were talked about, a guided reading meditation, sound baths with both crystal bowls and drums. During the ceremony an eagle passed overhead, it was a beautiful moment.
Event Photos
While each event is going to be a little different, with the people who attend to the vendors and the location, the overall vibe will still be very similar. These images can be used as event recap images to use on your website, blog, social media and newsletters. They should also be re-used to advertise for the next event. You should use these photos both after the event and before your next event. Never think that you can only use a photo once, use it again and again over all your platforms.
Are you hosting an event or retreat?
If you’re looking to capture your next event or will be hosting a women’s retreat in 2024 please reach out. I’m putting this out into the universe that in 2024 I want to be a part of at least 3 retreats in Washington state. I will capture images like these as well as take portraits or personal branding images of the attendees.
