South King County's Real Estate Agent Dream Team

Meet Kelly & Austen Gatz of Gatz Home Group

Photoshoot Location: In Puyallup, WA at H. Bero Interiors, the studio rental is an off menu offer

Kelly and Austin came to me with a need to update their older branding photos. Their previous photos were taken when Kelly was pregnant as well as blonde. We went through a Discovery Call and we all connected really well and moved forward to planning their photoshoot.

Every personal branding client goes through a very detailed shoot planning process. They both filled out an individual questionnaire and when deciding on their location we ended settling on the "home" vibe for this photoshoot. They wanted the diversity of professional to lifestyle looks. With using H. Bero Interior design studio, we had a beautifully staged space that could provide all that we needed to check off.

Below I break down each area that we photographed included what the story was that we wanted to tell and how we used outfits to support that storytelling. Each story set contains individual photos as well as together photos, while they work together and support each other we still want to convey their individual personalities.

Kitchen: Professional

The first story set started in the kitchen with their full professional outfits. The supporting prop we added in this set was their phones.

Kitchen: Working Professional

For this "working" professional story set, they stayed within out professional outfit. Our story idea was they were getting a home prepared and staged to be shown. We also took photos of their basket they provide to their closing clients.

Kitchen: Lifestyle

For their last kitchen story an outfit change happened to business casual and we brought in the coffee making and phones. They are working parents, who work together from home. Then finally took a few in action photos of their gifts being used.

Dining Room: Working Lifestyle

Next we transitioned into the dining room area, where we set up the stories of working from home. This is when we brought in the laptop and the daily tasks that come with being a working parent on Zoom calls.

Living Room: Lifestyle

Within this space there are a few smaller living room corners. Within these stories we brought in that casual life enjoying their own hobbies and even a pillow fluffing moment.

White Background: Professional Headshots

With the space size, I had to break up the white backdrop professional photos. Ideally I would have set these before or after the professional kitchen photos, but the kitchen table had to moved and backdrop setup. It was planned to do the champagne celebration outside, but weather didn't cooperate with us and I moved this inside to the white backdrop set. The "Under Contract" sign was brought in as well as the buyer guide, in addition to the champagne.

Miscellaneous

These were all done near the end, with a few right during transition. They each had their own little story of Austen experimenting with making different drinks, Kelly standing in the door area for that causal home vibe. Then both of them together in their more casual outfits within different set options.

Personal Branding Photoshoot with a Real Estate Agent

If you're a real estate agent that has been thinking about getting your own personal branding photos taken, I hope you found this helpful to see the potential vision your own photoshoot could go. A another set that could be added are some of the outdoor in front of the house and setting up signs. In addition "client" models can come in during the photoshoot to set up a staged showing, guidance through the steps etc.

The most important thing when taking personal branding photos is to come as yourself, we want to share who you are and why you're the right person to help the next buyer/seller. Showing personality and capturing your business branding values is our main goal that we accomplish by creating a variety of story narratives.
