Personal Branding Session for PNW Handmade Jewelry
Alexis of Verity & Co Designs and I were at it again and taking more photos for her business. She has added a few new handmade jewelry items and updated her home office space in Orting Washington since our last session and she needed updated photos for her Instagram posts. Her photos requests consisted of more stamping photos at the new to her desk, photos of her using the torch and making rings (which are in prep for the breastmilk jewelry to come and we will probably do another session of her making those items), pictures of her at her desk space in front of the window and then also photos of her packaging station. Since we've worked together a few times now our sessions go really well, she knows to just slowly move through her tasks, sometimes I'll prompt her to do that action again or move around slightly to get just the right angle. I enjoy working with Alexis and watching her work, she cares about each and every piece she makes, knowing that many pieces have a very sentimental value to each person. I'm excited to see the new breastmilk jewelry that she will be offering next, that is a piece that I myself will order from her since I have been saving milk from my kids for pieces of my own.
Having current and relevant images for your social media and website uses is key to being able to connect and relate to your target market. Having images of yourself smiling at the camera, not looking at the camera, busy doing your tasks, letting people into your lives and generally just being yourself is relevant today's social media needs. Having this variety of images helps to be able to showcase your personality that others like and identify with. When people like and identify with you they want to support you, buy from you and/or work with you. In your personal branding images being real and showing who you are a person is very important. People want to know the real you, they want to be able to connect with you as you are, not who you pretend to be. Show up as yourself in your photos and at your personal branding session. Choose locations that establish your brand as a person, pick clothing that supports your authentic look, pick items that embody you and your work that you do. And the other key ingredient to a good session is to have fun! You look amazing, you are amazing and lets show that to the world!
