We Did It Again!
Alexis and I have always talked about doing a branding session outside of her home office. It has been in the pipeline for a while now and we finally got it scheduled and done. Just like every session with Alexis we had so much fun, this time walking around downtown Puyallup taking photos. Within a block of where her car was parked we got a very diverse selection of backdrops. We used a traditional red brick wall where her car was parked and just took over a parking space for 10 minutes while we took photos right there. Next we packed up her wagon with all the outfits and we went across the street. We used the back of the post office which was more of an off white/cream colored brick wall. Right next to the post office there are these stone bench pillar things that we used to our advantage and just had fun laughing and playing around. We even had a few passing cars cheering us on and saying how beautiful Alexis looked. After that we went across the street again to a fun garage door and played a little there. Next we found a fun looking store front street that was in the shade and did some walking and fun street photography. Lastly we happened across a bench that provided some gorgeous bounce light and made our last stop there.
This whole session we just had so much fun. We laughed, she danced, created movement in the photos and played around with her hat. The session was a blast and we got some amazing photos for her to use everywhere she needs.
Alexis is an amazing mom of 2 little kids and runs the business Verity & Co Designs making personalized hand stamped jewelry and breast milk keepsakes. She also just recently started another business mentoring other mom’s starting their dream businesses. I’m very excited to see how this new add on business venture goes for her.
Check out some of the photos below of her session!!
Picking a Location
To do on location photos you don’t need to walk blocks and miles around, unless you’ve got specific locations in mind. We didn’t even walk a full block away from her parked car, all I did was look for the shade since it was a full sunny morning, chilly still but very bright out. It is pretty amazing what you can use a photography backdrop when you just try it out and have fun.
If you don't have specific locations in mind, this is where we will chat, bounce ideas between the two of us and do some research. Picking a location is going to vary depending on;
1. your personal style
2. your brand look
3. the stories you want to tell.
We've done the other stories of Alexis's business; her beginning home work seen here, the stamping events seen here, updated home office work seen here, motherhood, which I didn't make a post about but you can read more about Stories here. Locations are going to support these stories, depending on how many you want to go to depends on you. Places to start thinking of would be your city, nature, beach, café (situations permitting), home office and even space rentals are an option. If you would like to chat more, send me a message and let's connect.
